We use our years of experience to create an atmosphere for the evening. Having a 2-4 piece band adds a breathtaking start to the evening. We know hundreds of songs, catered to any style of music and play exactly what you want to hear. We work with the Bride and Groom to make sure their musical selections are prioritized as well as audience requests. We always read the room and are happy to adjust our volume to any level.

FAQ

What does the band wear?

One thing is for sure, WE LOVE SUITS! That being said, we understand every event is unique and we understand most events have professional photographers taking photos. Our signature look is every band member in a different colour suit with matching ties and white dress shirts. We usually switch up dress shirts and ties in between sets. We’re happy to offer all our players in black suits if your event requires something different. If you have a themed event, we could hang up the suits for the night and find something that aligns with your preference.

Do you travel?

We love to travel and love road trips! We are also happy to fly out of province. Our band leader can work with you on details before providing a contract. Accommodations, meals and travel allowance may be required depending on the distance and time commitment. Our band is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

What style of music do you play?

We specialize in soul, funk, pop and motown. In our experience this style of music has always packed the dance floor and features our incredible horn section. That being said we do feature other styles of music such as rock, country, jazz and hip hop. We have some incredibly packed medleys for different styles of music. Check out our music page for samples. We can also send you a master setlist.

Can you learn other songs for an event?

We’re happy to provide a master list of all the songs we know. From that list you are welcome to select songs you want to hear. We can also learn any song you want to hear if it is arranged in advance or play them in between sets through a music playlist. Are your guests country fans? No problem! Saddle up and let’s make it happen. 

Do you speak French?

One of our members does speak French and would be happy to host your event and speak during our sets. We can make sure the audience is always engaged and provide onstage details to your guests.

Will you learn songs in other languages?

Yes! Our singer has sung in Korean, French, Hebrew, Latin and Spanish. We’re happy to learn songs in another language as an additional option.

Do you know a Hora?

We love playing Jewish weddings! Why play a Hora from the DJ when you can have a band play it live? Let’s start the reception off right.

Can you accommodate more gender diversity in your line up?

We proudly support gender diversity. While we are a group of seven professional male musicians, we happily welcome other musicians and performers of all genders. If you are interested in having more gender diversity at your event let us know and we’ll make it work.

How long does the band play for?

Our standard booking is for a four hour call time in additional to completing our setup and sound check done at your convenience. We require two breaks within the four hours. We understand that events can go off schedule so we work with you to make sure entertainment is ready to hit the stage as soon as you’re ready for us.

Can the band play the ceremony and cocktail hour?

Absolutely! It’s extra special for us if we can be there for the entirety of your wedding day. Maybe there’s a special song that brought you two together. We can learn songs for the ceremony and cocktail hour. If you don’t require the full band till reception we can provide other options. How about acoustic guitar, violin, and piano for the ceremony? A DJ for cocktails? Our singer has an acoustic duo ready to perform with over seven hundred songs.

When do you sound check?

We make sure our instruments and equipment are sound checked and set up before any guests arrive. Typically this happens in the afternoon. This will be set in the contract.

Can the band provide a DJ during their breaks?

We would love to DJ your event in between breaks and before and after we play. Send us all your favourite songs! Let us read the crowd and play what we know will keep the dance floor packed! Having us DJ would include requests on the spot and we can customize the evening towards your selections and musical tastes.

Can the band play continuous music?

Our music is incredibly energetic and our players need breaks. We typically have a music playlist in between breaks. If you want the beginning portion of the night to be non-stop entertainment we can work with you to have a longer first set before we take a break.

Can the band stay late on the night of?

The longer, the better! People wanting to party longer is a really good thing. After all, when you’re having fun,  you don’t want the night to end! We have more than enough songs for a longer evening. We’re also happy to make this decision the night of.

Does the band provide a sound system?

Yes. We have a state of the art system where we provide a PA and basic lighting. Depending on the size of the event we will always make arrangements to provide what we need and suite your needs. Some events have already hired a sound and lighting company and we’re happy to work with them.

Can we use your sound equipment for speeches?

Yes, our band leader will be available to you to provide microphones when you need. If you need a wireless microphone talk to us in advance and we’ll make sure one is available.

Can you MC my event?

Now we’re talking! Our singer would be happy to. He is a professional entertainer having performed at hundreds of events. Let him take your event to the next level.

Can I see the band perform before I book them?

Booking well in advance always helps. There are usually events where you can attend as a special VIP. This means you can see and meet the band in advance. If you can’t attend the event you could send someone in your place or check out our Youtube videos.

How far ahead of the wedding will you be in contact to go over the day-of details?

We will work with your timeline. We’ll be accessible to you through email and phone. The only thing we ask is suggestions to music playlist additions be provided one week in advance. Songs for the band to learn would be typically be discussed and finalized before signing the contract. First dances for live music would be sent in at least two weeks in advance.

How much do I pay and when?

Reach out to us and we can send you a breakdown of costs. Usually a fifty percent deposit is required when signing the contract. The remainder is due the night of the event.

Who will be my contact the day of?

We actually will provide two contacts for you. The main contact will be the lead singer Jeremy Koz. The other contact will be our keys player Johnny Snezyk. You will be provided business cards with phone numbers for both contacts.

What does the band require on the night of?

If there is a band room or green room that is always appreciated but not required. All power requirements will be listed in the contract. Other requirements would depend on how much of the evening we are hired for.

Can the band play outside?

Outside events are incredibly fun and unique! The one thing we require is a covered stage. It very hard to plan in advance when it comes to weather. In this case we need to protect our gear. We can’t perform in an open stage if there is a chance of rain. Our singer can also rent a 20’ x 30’ white round tent. Ask for details if you are needing this. It will be a small fraction of what the cost would be renting it from another company.

Can you provide a stage plot for our stage?

Absolutely! We will provide you with a stage plot and what the required measurements are for our band. In our case the more space the better. Our singer loves to work the room.

Do you give a discount during the week?

Yes. We can work with on weekday events. It’s an absolute bonus to perform during the week.
